Nepal is the eventual destination for the trekking enthusiast. Trekking in Nepal is much a unique cultural experience as well as an ultimate Himalayan adventure. Every year thousands of visitors trek to different parts of this unique country to experience its rustic charm of nature and exotic culture. Most of the trekkers go through the areas between 1000m to 3000m, although some popular parts are over 5000m.

Trekking Grades:
Easy (Grade 1) Low altitude trails but could involve some ascents and descents. Light daypacks and cultural trek of villages.

Moderate (Grade 2) This grade will be suitable for those who perform regular exercises or at least be in perfect health. It does not need previous trekking experience. This grade may consist of trails including (2500-3000) m height.

Strenuous (Grade 3) Typically around 8 to 14 days trekking with up to 5 to 8 hours a day walk. During this trekking you will spend time in high mountain terrain involving considerable ascents or descents. Altitude may be a factor but is not always so. There may be adverse weather conditions and the trail path may vary from (3000 -4500) meter.

Adventure (Grade 4) Around 14 to 30 days trekking with some crossing mountain passes over 5500m. Challenging mountain terrain will be encountered including screen slopes, glacial moraines, or areas with no paths. No technical climbing and mountaineering skills are required.

Expedition grade (Grade 5) Treks at this grade have all the elements of those classed as difficulty. These could include high and difficult passes, roped glacier travel and other similar terrain where it may be necessary to use ice axe, crampons and climbing equipments. Not technically difficult but all are a considerable challenge. Previous trekking experience is essential for the expedition.
