Paragliding in Nepal can be a very wonderful and fullfilling for any adventure seekers who want to experience floating on the skies of the Himalayan kingdom with the fantastic views of majestic Himalayas, beautiful lakes, dense green forests, villages, monastries and temples.

A Paraglider is a simple engine-free aircraft that weighs around 12 kg and flies with the energy of wind, gravity and the pilot's power to steer. It descends due to the gravity and ascends due to the rising currents of warm air and can float in the direction wherever the pilot decides to take it. Since it flies very slowly it can be foot launched and gently land again with a slight effort.

Gliding is a weather dependent adventure. The best time for gliding in Nepal starts from November and ends on February, although the best months are November and December. The take-off point for these flight is Sarangkot (1592m.), a view point which is about 20 minutes drive from the the lakeside

town (Pokhara). Sarangkot also offers wonderful views of Fewa lake (2000 ft below) on the front and 3 of the world's highest peaks over 8000m (Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manasulu) on the back with the spectacular views of sun-rise and sun-set (if the skies are clear).

No previous experience is required as qualified pilots provide a short briefing before launching. We can also provide a three-day introductory course for those who want to fly but are scared of flying.

There are various options for the paragliding but more common options are as below:

Cloud Buster Cloud buster is the mid-day flight and it gives you the thrill of high flight above Sarankot with the company of Eagle and Vultures. This flight takes 30 to 40 minutes and land by the lake.

Cross-country This offer you the chance to experience flying from one valley to another. Using thermals, clouds, and birds to guide us, we take you on an unforgettable journey north of Pokhara towards the big mountains. We fly up to 2 hours and return to Pokhara that afternoon.

If you are paragliding for the first time do remember that there is 50% chances of vomiting while spinning. So we would like to suggest you to eat very light meal. If you are not sure, please ask more about spinning with pilots.
